Piers & Phuket Drop-off Info
- Departure Point: Railay Beach (East Railay Floating Pier). All speedboats and passenger ferries depart from the floating pier on East Railay. Please arrive at the pier at least 30 minutes before your departure time for ticket check-in.
- Walking to East Railay Pier: Since Railay has no roads or motor vehicles, guests staying on West Railay Beach or near Phra Nang Cave Beach can easily walk along paved flat footpaths to East Railay Floating Pier in roughly 5 to 10 minutes.
- Arrival Pier in Phuket: Phuket (Rassada Pier). All scheduled speedboats and ferries dock at Rassada Pier in Phuket Town, offering prompt road access to Patong, Kata, Karon, Rawai, Phuket Old Town, and Phuket International Airport.
- Complimentary Hotel Drop-off in Phuket: Free shared minivan drop-off to major beach destinations (Patong, Kata, Karon, and Phuket Town) is included on selected ferry sailings marked with the Free Hotel Drop-off badge. - Speedboat vs Ferry Travel Time: Direct speedboats make the open-sea crossing in approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Large passenger ferries take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, providing air-conditioned indoor seating, open sundecks, and smoother cruising.
- Seasonal Ferry Schedules: During the low season (May through October), certain passenger ferry services operate on a modified schedule (running on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays only). High season sailings operate daily. Please verify your departure date on our live booking timetable.
- Catching Flights from Phuket Airport (HKT): If connecting to a departing flight at Phuket International Airport, please choose a boat departing Railay at least 4 to 5 hours prior to your scheduled flight time to allow for boat disembarkation, luggage collection, and road traffic across Phuket.
- Seating Policy: Standard open seating operates on a first-come, first-served basis. On speedboats, boat crew will guide seating arrangements to ensure passenger comfort and boat trim.
